For many years, the ASBL Hainaut Waterways managed and animated the Domaine de Claire-Fontainein Chapelle-lez-Herlaimont.
Its teams ensure the smooth running of the site, welcome the public and enhance the value of a natural and recreational area that has marked generations of visitors.

A place of leisure, relaxation and nature, the estate has long been a meeting place for families, campers and walkers, who come to enjoy the green and friendly surroundings around the lake, the playground, the mini-golf course and the campsite.

A provincial reorganization

Following a political decision taken at provincial levelThe ASBL will cease operations at the end of 2025.
This decision is part of a reorganization of tourism and heritage management of the Province of Hainaut, aimed at redefining missions and refocusing resources.

The 2025 season will therefore have been the last season of operation of the Domaine de Claire-Fontaine under the management of Voies d'Eau du Hainaut.

What this means

The ASBL's leisure and camping activities are no longer scheduled.

As regards the residential campsite , contact will shortly be made with the regional authorities, who own the site, to clarify the outlook for the 2026 season.
